KawaiiProject?
We believe cuteness is a superpower โ softness as resistance, kindness as rebellion.
KawaiiProject started as two friends photographing friends in Takeshita Street. Today we run the largest English-language archive of kawaii fashion, run workshops in 14 cities, publish zines, and help indie creators launch their own character brands. Our motto: โEveryone can be kawaii.โ No body standards, no age limits, no gatekeeping.

Kawaii (ใใใใ) means cute, lovable, tiny-precious. But itโs more than looks โ itโs Japanese philosophy of cherishing vulnerability, kindness and playfulness at any age. You donโt need to look anime to be kawaii!
๐ Can I be kawaii if Iโm not Japanese?
Absolutely! Kawaii is for everyone. Just appreciate respectfully: learn history, credit creators, buy from Japanese & indie artists when you can, avoid costumes that mock culture. Love, donโt appropriate.
